My Views On Religion
I am a Christian. Most everyone finds this out the first day they meet me. I don't know how, but somehow it will be brought up, or I'll say something that makes them go "ah-ha." My husband and I go to church every Sunday. He runs sound, I volunteer in the nursery sometimes. Our 3 year old goes to Sunday School and our 14 month old goes to the nursery. It is very, very rare, that we miss church. I pray, a lot. I have a relationship with God. Much like a father - daughter relationship. I used to be closer to him, and I am working to get there again.
That being said, I believe men have done some really nasty things in the name of God, and it was not his will at all. I believe God is bigger than my understanding and that I will continue to be surprised by him, forever. I will not limit him, and guess what he can and can't do. I don't know. I'm not God. I believe we are given free will, but he has a plan in our best interests and we can choose to fallow that, or not. I believe I am not the best person to try and win someone over to Christianity. I don't have the verses, I don't have the life changing story, I just... believe. I just can not disprove the God I grew up with. He is too real to me. We have real conversations.
So, I believe in God, I love my church, and all the people in it, but I don't claim to be religious. I have a relationship.
